Equipped with a unique ½-inch thick reticulated polypropylene nap, these specialized rollers boast a 50% greater compound-holding capacity compared to other high-nap alternatives. The innovative nap also releases the compound on the wall evenly, making the skimming process easy and efficient.LEVEL5 compound rollers also feature an ergonomic, soft-grip handle that is comfortable for all-day use on the jobsite. The roller frame uses a heavy duty ¼-inch diameter shank that resists bending during use and has been nickel plated for corrosion resistance.
This 9-inch wide, 3-inch diameter version of the compound roller is ideal for rolling drywall compound on taped seams prior to final finishing with a skimming blade or taping knife.
PRO TIP: Before using your new drywall compound roller for the first time, “prime” the roller cover by wrapping painter’s tape around its entire surface and then peeling it off. This will remove any loose fibers or bits of roller nap that may not have been securely attached during manufacturing.
