Had a bazooka for 25+ years from Ames and it was time.... Excalibur taper performs the same as the more expensive ones.... Can't see why you would pay more....
I had allways skimmed a wall with trowels, applying the mud by hand. Using the mud roller makes skimming a wall much quicker. My only complaint would be that I cannot use my painting pole to apply mud higher than I can reach. I really don't need another set of specialty poles.
